Macquarie towers is a landmark building in the heart of Parramatta.
The programming and coordination of the project was a task in itself. The Mixed use development was a challenge that Oxford relished. The building comprising of retail tenancies, 7 levels of council car park + 5 levels of residential car park as well as 2 Towers to top the project off.
The North Tower being 55 levels above car park with 496 Units and the South Tower being 42 levels above car park with 245 Units.
The project consisting of 2 chamber substations each with two HV transformers. There was 4 x 2200A Main Switch Boards and approximately over 60 Kilometres of sub main cabling. Some unique and first off challenges were faced straight away, this project having the first tower in the Endeavour Energy region to have a high level chamber substation half way up the building.
This is a project that involved great team work and the management was exemplary in producing a product to be proud of, which has an estimated value in the excess of $12m.
